      Job summary

      An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. We currently have a vacancy for an Administrator working as part of the Cannock Villages PCN based at Norton Canes Medical Centre within Community Adult Services and planned care.

      This key role will be to provide a comprehensive admin support to the Community nursing team. Your main duties will include processing referrals, data cleansing, answering and directing phone calls, liaising with both internal and external agencies, using IT systems (i.e. Rio, eCommunity, Outlook, Word) and dealing with general enquiries. You should have relevant experience in these areas.

      You will need to be self-motivated, able to manage your working time effectively and have excellent communication skills. You will also have a good level of education (including English and Maths) an NVQ Level 3 Business & Administration / RSA level III typing qualification or equivalent experience.

      Main duties of the job

      The main duties of the role are:

      • To provide a point of contact for the multi-disciplinary team, filtering telephone calls and emails or redirecting as necessary from members of the MDT, public or other agencies.
      • Accurately record messages using the electronic systems ensuring effective communication.
      • Good written and oral communication skills with internal and external partners, as well as members of the public.
      • Demonstrating accuracy in all aspects of work.
      • Flexible approach- demonstrating ability to respond positively to changes in allocation of work at short notice to set deadlines.
      • As appropriate, receive referrals from other agencies or members of the public, input onto data systems and use own judgement to direct to appropriate members of staff.
      • To input data from the various IT systems including RIO, eCommnunity or any other systems as required.
      • To support ordering and management of the ONPOS dressings as required.
      • Servicing of various meetings, which may include from time to time adult protection conferences, issuing invites and minutes taking, the production of accurate records and the distribution of reports with agreed time scales.
      • Maintaining stock records for clinical equipment/ stores and organising annual equipment checks.
      • Where appropriate contact patient to arrange visits/ appointments for professionals to visit.
      • To provide cover for colleagues across the District in the event of absences.
      • This post will be office based.
