Our HR Services run e.g. the payroll for more than 350.000 employees within DHL working in 28 countries across the globe. They also offer time & attendance management, employee data administration and reporting, travel & expense processing and other services.

Job Purpose:

As the Team Lead Payroll, based in the Bratislava area, you will be instrumental in leading the delivery of HR services, products, and systems within a shared-services environment. Your primary focus will be on enhancing service delivery quality by streamlining payroll processes, continuously driving efficiency, and playing a key role in the digitalization of our services. You will manage the insourcing of payroll for new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire payroll team, fostering an inclusive team culture that recognizes individual contributions.
• Demonstrate a willingness to support and cover for team members as needed.
• Identify and seize opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strategic and operational relationships with subordinate employees.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including calculations of salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
• Support the team with handling the payroll.
• Prepare personnel documents related to employment relationships.
• Generate statements and reports for internal and external purposes.
• Enter and control data in the personnel and payroll system.
• Collaborate with other departments within the Global Business Services (GBS).
• Drive performance, quality of service, cost efficiency, and compliance through Key Performance Indicators.
• Ensure all work is compliant with internal and external audit requirements and legislative standards.

Skills, Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or University Degree in Finance, HR, Digital, or Business management.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience, preferably in a Shared Services or equivalent international company.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Slovak.
• Expertise in payroll management.
• Leadership competencies to manage a team of payroll specialists
• Knowledge of the the payroll is essential
• Previous experience with SAP Payroll is a plus
• Strong commercial focus with a proven ability to achieve challenging performance targets.
• Experience in Business Process Optimization, including documentation, analysis, and improvement.
• Facilitation and conflict resolution skills, combined with effective communication and negotiation skills.
