      Position: Team Leader (Nights)
      Location: Milton Keynes (MK4 3FU)
      Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
      Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off - 19:00-07:00
      Closing date: 6th January, 2024

      DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

      WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

      • Monitor and continuously improve service levels both in terms of order accuracy and delivery performance
      • Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
      • Act as a first point of contact for the customer in the event of operational queries
      • Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
      • Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
      • Carry out regular briefings for shift ensuring that any feedback from operatives is recorded and responded to.
      • Facilitate effective communication with staff & customers alike

      WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

      • Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a warehouse environment is essential
      • Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
      • Knowledge of working time legislations and driving hours
      • Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
      • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
      • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
