Champion the digitization of Evolve’s small business portfolio by implementing and leveraging advanced technology solutions, driving efficiency, and improving broker and client experiences.
Design and execute underwriting strategies that align with Evolve MGA’s overall business goals, with a focus on profitable growth and operational scalability.
Partner with leadership teams at Nexus Group and Brown & Brown to align underwriting strategies with broader corporate goals.
Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the U.S. and international cyber insurance markets.
Annual top line growth on Evolve’s Tech E&O and Cyber books of business.
Underwrite Cyber and Tech E&O deals, taking direct responsibility for evaluating risks, pricing, and ensuring alignment with Evolve's risk appetite, profitability targets, and underwriting standards.
Oversee underwriting operations for Evolve’s Cyber and Tech E&O products, ensuring adherence to risk appetite and guidelines.
Continuously refine underwriting processes and implement data-driven decision-making to improve speed, accuracy, and profitability.
Monitor portfolio performance, ensuring a balanced risk profile and achieving or exceeding profitability metrics (low loss ratio, growth goals).
Lead, mentor, and manage Evolve’s team of underwriters, monitoring clear performance goals and KPIs, collaborating with Evolve’s leadership team.
Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, encouraging professional growth and development within the team.
Ensure a seamless process for managing internal referrals, underwriting support, and workflow efficiency.
Build and sustain strong partnerships with capacity providers, ensuring alignment with underwriting strategies and securing long-term capacity commitments.
Act as the primary liaison with capacity providers, presenting performance data and negotiating favorable terms.
Serve as a thought leader and industry expert, representing Evolve MGA at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities.
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments to adapt underwriting practices proactively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including claims, legal, marketing, and technology, to ensure cohesive operations and alignment with company goals.
Leverage advanced analytics and reporting tools to monitor trends, measure performance, and adjust underwriting strategies as needed
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced certifications such as RPLU, CPCU, or ARM are highly preferred.
10+ years in cyber and tech E&O underwriting, including leadership roles with P&L responsibility.
Demonstrated success in managing underwriting teams, driving profitability, and maintaining strong capacity provider relationships.
Experience in digitizing insurance operations and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.

EVOLVE is seeking a Director of Underwriting & Digital Strategy to join our growing team in Dallas, Texas or in a remote capacity.
The Director of Underwriting & Digital Strategy will be instrumental in driving underwriting innovation, fostering profitable growth, and maintaining a best-in-class underwriting approach across Evolve’s Cyber and Tech E&O products. This role will have a focus on digitizing Evolve’s small business portfolio through cutting-edge technology, strengthening relationships with brokers and capacity providers, and leading our expansion into the middle-market Cyber/Tech space.

Pay Range
$200,000 - $300,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
