TPX/CCS Overview Comcast’s Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience. As part of Comcast Cybersecurity (CCS) you will be part of a high-performing team that builds security into Comcast Business products and infrastructure. We Are: The Comcast Business Cybersecurity (CBSEC) Team is the Cybersecurity Lead for Comcast Business, an $10B company within Comcast. Our team supports the entire Comcast Business unit from product deployed to customers to back-office infrastructure which supports sales, fulfillment, billing and the entire customer experience. We are a team of security analysts, engineers and coaches who work as consultants to product, development, and enterprise infrastructure teams, ensuring Comcast Cybersecurity policies and standards are implemented correctly. Our team works across all security domains, including vulnerability management, network, cloud and endpoint security, identity and access management, governance risk and compliance, threat modeling and remediation. Job Responsibilities During this internship you will shadow our Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) coaches and senior cybersecurity engineers as they mentor development teams through the adoption 12 Comcast Cybersecurity Practices. You will begin your internship by completing Comcast Yellow & Orange Belt Security Training. Get familiar with Security Central the one-stop-shop for all things Comcast Cybersecurity. Learn about the XcyberScore (XCS) program which is the gamification of the 12 Cybersecurity Practices Capture minutes and action items generated during SDL coaching sessions. Aid in updating Comcast Cybersecurity ServiceNow tracking system. Participate in Secure Design Consultations with our Senior Cybersecurity Architects. Deliver a capstone presentation to the team about the 12 SDL practices and provide real examples of how you've seen them in action during your internship. Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preferred Majors: Computing & Security Technology, Computing Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Security Technology Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university that has a formal internship program. Available to work 36 hours per week on site at 1800 Arch St. Philadelphia PA, 8 hours per week remote. 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred. Authorized to work in the United States of America Preferred Skills Knowledge of computer systems and networks. Familiarity with security concepts: encryption, firewalls, and access control. Understanding of common threats and vulnerabilities Familiarity with the OWASP top 10, NIST or other cybersecurity frameworks Familiarity with security tools: vulnerability scanners, packet sniffers, and intrusion detection systems Ability to analyze and interpret data: analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and trends that may indicate a security threat. Communication skills: The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people is important to help them understand the risks and implications of security threats. Problem-solving skills: Able to solve complex problems, identifying and mitigating complex security threats. Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024, Spring 2025, December 2025 or Spring 2026. Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program (36 hours at 1800 Arch Street, Philadelphia PA, 19103- Comcast Technology Center, and 8 hours remote) Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting. Internship roles will be office-based with no virtual offerings. Relevant Work Experience 0-2 Years Salary: Base Pay: $32.00 Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
