      Your role at Baxter:

      At Baxter Healthcare Corporation, we are offering an outstanding opportunity for a Tech, Microbiology - Rotational Shift to join our research team. This role will allow you to perform and detail microbiological tests, monitor tests, and ensure compliance with reference specifications and procedures.       What you'll be doing:

      • Accurately use aseptic techniques and other microbiological techniques such as streak plates, dilution, pour plates, and microbiological transfer.
      • Perform microbiological testing for pyrogen, water testing, compressed air systems, and environmental systems.
      • Operate various laboratory equipment including water bath, autoclave, balance, particle counter, biological safety cabinets, etc., following reference specifications, manuals, and safety rules.
      • Generate laboratory documentation in compliance with reference specifications and/or SOP's.
      • Gather laboratory data in a comprehensive format for upper management information.
      • Prepare, sterilize, and test all media needed for testing and release media as appropriate.
      • Conduct any special testing and other duties related to the responsibility area.
      • Assist in the qualification and re-qualification of the Autoclave Steam in Solution.

      What you'll bring:

      • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology/Biology/General Sciences, which may include at least one microbiology course in the curriculum, is required.
      • 0-5 years of previous experience in Micro Lab assays.
      • Knowledge of GLP/GMP/FDA requirements and good documentation practices.
      • Proficiency in PC Microsoft Office software.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Willingness to work as required per company needs, including holidays and weekends.
      • Ability to work under pressure.

      Language Requirement:

      We are looking for a bilingual candidate with proficiency in both written and oral English and Spanish.

      Physical Demands:

      This position requires medium physical work, including exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Continuous movement is expected, including walking through clean rooms and during the sampling process.
