      Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

      Technical Documentation Specialist (d/f/m)

      We are a small team shaping and implementing the setup for the creation and delivery of Technical Documentation (also known as Technical Publications) of the recently started UAV aircraft programme “Eurodrone” at Airbus Defence and Space. We are at the heart of the services and support area of the programme collaboration with various different departments and functions in order to compile and create all the information required to produce the huge set of technical manuals for the safe operation and maintenance of the eurodrone system. For this very tangible task, we are working within a company internal multifunctional digitalization multifunctional team focusing on processes and tools as well as the program organization focused on interaction with our partner companies, our customer and the deliverables.

      Your tasks and responsibilities

      The role of the Technical Documentation Specialist is to collect, define and coordinate the requirements, data sources, tool environment and the data production process of the Technical Publications for the multinational European MALE RPAS project.

      Technical Publications comprises of the complete set of maintenance, operational (Flight Ops) and supporting manuals for an aircraft system, following the international S1000D standard.

      This role’s focus will be to create and align documents, specifications and procedures for the definition, implementation and operation of the technical publications work package, as well as the associated tool environment.

      Main responsibilities

      • Contribute to the digitalization transformation project from TID perspective to implement an E2E data flow
      • Define and establish the entire TID setup for the MALE RPAS including
        • Identify and collect business requirements from a TID perspective
        • Author official documents that define process and data objects
        • Configure the TID software
        • Create training materials
        • Support the TID authoring ramp up
      • Align with other disciplines (in services, engineering, airworthiness, production etc.) to ensure availability of all necessary information and source data
      • Train the industrial partners and suppliers / coach and support the TID community in applying the defined rules and processes
      • Contribute to ensure the contractual deliveries in time, cost and quality
      • Constant checking and optimization of given processes and procedures

      Additional tasks

      • Support the development of the project specific rules and procedures to define the Technical
      • Publications (like S1000D Business Rules, Project BREX etc.)
      • Support the preparation of regulations, authoring guidelines and work instructions to ensure comprehensive and homogenous authoring
      • Ensure TechPub data consistency and continuity through all disciplines and logistic products
      • Conceptual enhancement of the IETP and the corresponding browser application

      Desired skills and qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering or related technical discipline (Aerospace Engineering, IT, Industrial Engineer, Technical Documentation, …)
      • Ability for clear formulation of specifications and requirements
      • High interest in IT- and Data Management related topics is required
      • Knowledge of international aerospace TID standards is preferred (ASD S-Series ILS Specifications, mainly S1000D)
      • Detailed knowledge of desktop publishing software in XML markup languages and CSDB knowledge and implementation expertise preferred
      • Strong background, previous experience or involvement in implementation of
      • technical documentation platforms and management is a plus
      • Interdisciplinary thinking and acting
      • Fluent German and English are mandatory (Spanish or French is a plus)
      • Experience in working in a regulated Technical Publications environment (i.e. aerospace technical documentation)
      • Beneficial application skills: XML Editors, HICO IPS Suite, S1000D CSDB, DACAS, 3DEXPERIENCE, XSLT
