What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of technical documents and publications
- Manage team resources to deliver bids, projects, and products effectively
- Establish and standardize processes and procedures for technical publications
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in technical content
- Perform technical publication work on bids, projects, and products as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Engineering degree or two-year diploma in a relevant field, or certification as a technical trade of the CAF
- Minimum of five years of experience in technical publication work on complex systems within the last 10 years
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to develop team skills and support recruitment and performance management
- Familiarity with technical publication processes and tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a defense or security-related environment
- Knowledge of Canadian Export Control List and associated regulations
- Previous experience managing a team in technical publications
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with hybrid work models and remote team management
