What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Achieve sales and profit goals within the Southern California region
- Promote and sell scientific instruments and services to meet sales targets
- Maintain and expand the customer base while identifying new customer opportunities
- Coordinate and participate in marketing activities within the assigned territory
- Manage CRM data input and provide weekly updates on forecasts and metrics
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in capital equipment sales, biotechnology, or technical equipment scientific sales
- 3+ years of experience in sales/business development in the Life Sciences sector
- 2+ years of experience in negotiating pricing and terms, with formal sales training preferred
- Proficiency in Funnel Management, Forecasting, and prospecting, with experience in tools like Salesforce and Tableau preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with formal sales training such as SPIN or Miller Heiman/Blue sheet training
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional sales teams
- Strong enthusiasm for presenting technical information to clients
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for teamwork and collaboration
- Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Navigator and ZOOM info
