      The Opportunity

      • The territory covers the Northeast (Maine to PA)
      • Travel up towards to 70%

      What You’ll Work On

      • The primary job functions are to serve as a Lead with-in the Technical Solution Design Team and a subject matter expert, coordinating the tactical technical solution design (TSD) including Lab Systems/ Automation, Informatics, Workflow and Consulting lines of business.
      • Responsible for leading a TSD “pod” in the assigned region and manage accounts to ensure all TSD deliverables are completed according to internal standards and deadlines.
      • Directly responsible for workflow analysis, automation technical expertise and competitive insights, process mapping and transition planning.
      • Coordinate TSD pod schedule and resource planning in alignment with the TSD manager.
      • This position will develop, create, and design strategies for the complex core laboratory and automation customer base, such as key strategic accounts and national/regional health systems.
      • This includes project management, preplanning, and preparation to understand and present customer priorities, many projects must be managed concurrently.
      • The Team Leader will partner/liaison to serve as a communication link to internal and external business partners and Customers to build and maintain effective long-term relationships to grow the business.
      • Initiate competitive comparisons to support business strategies and our Total Solution Design

      Major Accountabilities

      • The TSD Lead will apply their advanced technical knowledge to guide their assigned TSD pod to analyze user needs, gather customer requirements; design an integrated, scalable, and comprehensive solution to improve outcomes for clinical diagnostic healthcare customers.
      • Must be able to multitask and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization such as Sales, Lab Managers/Directors, Project Managers, internal and external vendors, contractors, and senior level management as needed.
      • Ensure designed solutions meet customer needs as well as align with Abbott financial and revenue expectations. Responsible for overall TSD deliverables such as formal presentations, Total Value of Ownership analyses, and statements of work documents.
      • Subject matter expert in Abbott Automation solutions to include design capabilities, and competitive differentiation to support business strategy as appropriate.
      • Act as primary commercial contact for technical specialist teams for product and process development and improvement leveraging knowledge and experience in clinical laboratory science and laboratory operations and workflows.
      • Partner with the Sales Organization identifying new consulting opportunities and developing customized solutions.
      • Activities include RFI/RFP assistance as it relates to technical data, solution development, value creation, transition plans and customer meetings and presentations.
      • Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with internal and external customers.
      • Manage and support sales objectives and customer satisfaction to grow the business. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
      • Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical laboratory design specialty automation and workflow.

      Additional Information:

      • Responsible for mentoring and coaching Technical Solution Design Specialists on the various technical areas of automation, workflow, information technology, and professional services.

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree
      • 5+ years of experience selling technical products, services, installations, and configurations of automated diagnostics systems, laboratory automation systems, and system integrations.

      Or Clinical laboratory science and laboratory operations and workflows

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Master’s degree
      • Sales Experience
      • Laboratory or clinical laboratory management experience

      The base pay for this position is

      $90,700.00 – $181,300.00

      In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
