      In this exciting role as the CSP Technical Sourcing representative, you will be the primary integration point linking Global Supply Management (GSM) with the Spine CSP Team aligning Medtronic Product and Supplier Technology Roadmaps. The purpose of GTS is to accelerate innovation through suppliers to create a sustainable competitive advantage. Technical Sourcing will engage with Consistent Processes as a GSM Project Management function to lead the Reduction of Overall Supply Risk and drive the adoption of Capable Technologies & Sources in New Product Development resulting in Predictable Supply & Competitiveness through full Product Launch.

      CSP is a Spine R&D and Marketing Group focusing on Customized Spinal Instruments to specific Spine Surgeon needs, uses, and preferences. CSP is active across all spinal therapies offered by Medtronic Spine.

      Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

      • Knowing and communicating sourcing risks early in the development cycle to drive mitigating designs and/or focused Supplier Development.
      • Driving Supplier Identification, Evaluation, Selection, Development, Qualification, and Product Launch Ramp-up in line with Category and CSP Strategies.
      • Identifying potential new sources in Technologies where Category Strategies do not yet exist.
      • Documenting & managing overall CSP Project Sourcing Strategies:
      • Track and manage improvements in procured component Supply Risk, Quality, Material Cost, and Response / Lead Time for the full Device procured Bill of Material, (for both new and legacy components).
      • Report out at each progressive Development Phase.
      • Ensuring timely delivery and internal processing and movement of components and products through CSP/Medtronic for delivery to customers.
      • Manage and coordinate all Sourcing Project Deliverables in support of CSP Product Development.
      • Manage low volume, high mix products through business priority and product variable complexity.

      Location: Greater Memphis, TN

      Ability to travel: up to 50% (locally Greater Memphis)

      Must Have (Minimum Requirements)
      To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.

      • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
      • 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

      Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

      • General Manufacturing Process knowledge and experience.
      • Knowledge of applicable FDA/cGMP and International medical device regulations and standards.
      • Knowledge of ISO Standards.
      • Experience in medical device industry.
      • Project management experience (PMP a plus)
      • General technical experience (Read Drawings, understand machining and inspection)
      • Experience leading others and interpersonal team building.
      • Experience communicating information to others through verbal presentations and written communications such as reports and correspondence.
      • Experience using influence skills to achieve results across a matrixed organization.
      • Negotiation experience

      Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$109,600.00 - $164,400.00

      This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

      The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

      The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

      The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match , Short-term disability , Paid time off , Paid holidays , Employee Stock Purchase Plan , Employee Assistance Program , Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums) , and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
