      Title: Technical Writer- Senior
      Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
      Duration: 6+ Months Contract with possible extension.


      Job Description:
      Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
      • Experience in the creation of technical documentation, system policies and guidelines (related to System Access Control and IT Standard Operations Procedures), including procedures at the specified experience level
      • Experience with a wide range of technical writing methods, tools and techniques and knowledge of industry standards and best practices
      • Experience in the research and gathering of related policies and practices that could be used to develop the required guidelines for this project
      • Knowledge and experience in developing on-line documentation
      • Knowledge and experience with communications protocols
      • Knowledge and experience with tools for the creation, distribution and maintenance of the required user documentation and guidelines
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; presentation skills; and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to communicate with cross functional teams and a wide range of audiences
      • Ability to create a quick start guide covering the main steps that users will follow
      • Ability to create a detailed configuration/administrative guide to users covering all details required
      • Experience and ability to create a glossary or list of terms and definitions
      • Experience with office automation suites, presentation tools, and at least one authoring package
      • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
      • Proficiency in English
      • Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards and in ensuring any or all guidelines developed will be accessible
      • Skilled at using standard technical writing tools such as Microsoft Office and/or Adobe Technical Communication Suite

      Desirable Skills:
      • Knowledge, understanding and experience in publishing content on websites
      • Strong collaboration and listening skills to capture necessary information
      • Ability to validate technical documentation and confirm documentation aligns with expected/required product functionality
      • Ability to create feedback forms/tools to gather information from users

      Must Haves:
