What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write and edit technical documents including reports, briefings, and presentation materials
- Conduct research and consult relevant information sources to develop content
- Stay updated on legislation and agency policy to align writing assignments with federal requirements
- Develop deliverable schedules and outlines for review with federal staff
- Ensure deliverables meet 508 compliance and the standards of the Plain Writing Act of 2010

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing written content
- Minimum of 1 year of writing experience related to migrant and refugee issues/policy
- Minimum of 6 months of experience with 508 compliance and Plain Writing requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet stringent deadlines

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in social work, public administration, English, or a related field
- Experience developing content related to refugee or migration issues
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and theories of learning
- Experience developing learning experiences on federal contracts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
