      Job Description

      BAE Systems is seeking a CDL Driver / Engineering Technician at our Endicott, NY location.

      This role will be working in a Power and Propulsion Lab supporting the development, testing, maintenance of and test driving of Test Vehicles. Activities include test driving, design and development, support and maintenance of hybrid electric, fuel cell, energy storage systems and vehicles. Candidate will need a basic working knowledge of mechanical design and electronic circuits and a commercial driver's license.

      Typical Education and Experience

      Typically a High School Diploma and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

      Required Skills and Education

      Ability to learn and work well with others

      Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and to troubleshoot in both mechanical and electrical fields

      Valid CDL License

      Knowledgeable in federal and state regulations governing commercial vehicle operation

      Software skills for use of WORD, EXCEL PowerPoint, etc.

      Availability to work overtime as needed and work productively with little oversight

      Preferred Skills and Education

      Detailed knowledge and experience in the operation and troubleshooting of hybrid drive line systems and components

      Strong knowledge of DOT safety regulations

      Clean driving record

      CDL with Manual Endorsement

      Experience in basic vehicle maintenance and repairs

      Experience in welding and fabrication

      Experience in an Engineering Team environment

      Experience in electrical and mechanical design support

      Experience with commercial vehicle mechanical/electrical system architecture

      Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology
