      Position Location: Green Avenue Administration Building
      Effective Date: April 1, 2025
      Bargaining Unit: Act 93 - 12 months



      District Summary: The William Penn School District is located in southeastern Delaware County and serves approximately 5,000 students who reside in Aldan, Colwyn, Darby, East Lansdowne, Lansdowne, and Yeadon Boroughs. We share a collective vision to educate, nurture and empower all students to become career and/or college ready.

      Position Summary: The Technology Project Manager for the Blended Learning and Education Technology Office will be responsible for supporting the operational technology infrastructure to ensure the district’s core instructional technology platform operates in alignment with the instructional program. This person will lead the successful execution of a variety of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced environments. The Technology Project Manager handles a wide range of administrative and support-related tasks and works mostly independently. He/she supports the IT Department in performing key job elements. He/she demonstrates excellent organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills in all areas.

      Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

      • Deliver on time, in-budget projects - Execute projects within the intended scope, time frame and funds.
      • Communicate with clients, drive contact with clients throughout the project lifecycle to understand/set expectations, establish timelines and grow the relationship.
      • Manage resources, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to identify and allocate the necessary resources for each project.
      • Track and communicate progress, measure performance for presentation to clients and internal leadership.
      • Provide technical and administrative assistance district-wide.
      • Provide assistance to the service desk. Develop and maintain continuous improvement of the service desk operations.
      • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director of Blended Learning and Educational Technology and the Chief of Schools.
      • Assist with administering and maintaining the Network infrastructure.
      • Oversee timely and appropriate equipment changes (e.g. switches and devices; installing software; changing configurations or the physical network; creating sub, stand alone, or parallel networks, etc.) for the purpose of fulfilling service requests.
      • Support and manage the integration of technology in classrooms, ensuring devices, educational tools, and software are effectively deployed and maintained to enhance teaching and learning.
      • Responsible for availability and performance of the enterprise (e.g. operating systems; firewall; VolP; content filtering, spam filtering; layer 2 & 3 core switches; routers; Wireless controllers/AP; routine maintenance programs, etc.)

      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google Suite and/or Project Management Software (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
      • Ability to understand and implement the fundamentals of instructional technology concepts.
      • Effective understanding of various Learning Management systems, including, but not limited to Google Classroom and Schoology.
      • Knowledge of culturally competent pedagogy and schooling practices, curriculum alignment and integration, differentiation of instruction, knowledge PA state standards, and eligible content.
      • Knowledge of classroom management through engagement and collaborative methods of instructional design and delivery.
      • Ability to courageously lead conversations focused on equity, closing opportunity gaps, and equal access to technology-infused lessons of rigor.
      • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District staff and administrators, students, parents or guardians, outside agencies, and the public, in a multi-ethnic, multicultural, multilingual environment.
      • Ability to receive and implement feedback to improve practice, systems, and the planning and delivery of professional development.
      • Ability to address new trends and ideas in education. Plan, organize, prioritize, and mage projects to meet the current trends and needs of the district stakeholders.

      Required Qualifications:

      • College degree in a related field with 3 years of IT experience (Preferred)
      • OR, High School graduate with 5 years of IT experience
      • Eligible for a Pennsylvania driver's license at time of hire

      • Copies of Act 168 (Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release) forms from prior employers
