Job Purpose

To actively own and be accountable for the overall evolution of multiple Technology or Domain assets while influencing and maintaining the health of the asset. Play a leadership role on the associated COE’s

Job Responsibilities

• Technical
o Ability to understand middleware technology- working knowledge of Nedbank’s Middle Ware and integration
systems and streams)
o Ability to develop Middle Ware systems for Nedbank on AIX Unix/Windows
o Exposure and working knowledge of -Message broker.
o Have a good grounding in the Middle Ware concepts and can associate most of the concepts into designs and
argue them in that context.
o Understanding of DataPower and API gateway
o Understand and the use of SOAP and REST technologies for various development projects and services.
o Have excellent C, C++, Fortran, JAVA development skills.
o Essential to scripting languages as well JS and Python and Unix Shell
o Ability and good working knowledge with regards to Archiving technologies (Mainly P8-IBM ) some on CMOD
(Content Management on Demand
o Ability to build systems that can integrate into these solutions which are core to Enterprise Content
Management - the bank's ECM strategy.

• System knowledge
o Deep Understanding of Nedbank and in- depth experience of systems within Nedbank.
o Ability to bring and translate core concepts and design that may integrate with various platforms with
Nedbank.
o Ability to support and maintain the design for ECS/ECP which is the core of the system and is the glue
that puts together the ability to deliver functionality to channels as they progress through the Managed
Evolution roadmap.
o Strategy focus -Adoption of event driven and asynchronous designs in basis code they will benefit systems
in the long run.
o Understanding end to end design of Micro services within Nedbank.
o Integration & Advance Design-Banking Technology Platform
o Micro services design, In-depth Java, Cloud Exposure,ECS Banking Platform Knowledge (Home grown
development)
o Strategic thinker
o Exposure to Hyper Automation
o Ability to navigate and provide solutions for problems that may arise from time to time.
o Understanding of Intelligent Capture Software
o Understanding and working knowledge of Exstream Software
o Knowledge and understanding around SAAS and PAAS models
