- Upon hire the KHOC nurse must have an active unrestricted DE license to start. Active PA and FL Registered Nurse Licenses must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. *If the nurse resides in a multistate compact state (DE, NJ or MD) and has a multistate license for that state, they will not need to get a separate FL license. The KHOC associate must not work autonomously until all licensure is obtained and verified, but can shadow, and train with a KHOC preceptor, but cannot provide medical advice for states the associates have not obtained licenses for.

Remote Telephone Triage Nurse - Primary Care/ After hours, part time/ casual
Nemours Children’s Health is seeking an experienced pediatric telephone triage nurse to support our primary care practices in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Florida. This is a fully remote position that requires one shift every other weekend, and two holidays per year on a rotating basis. This is a casual (0.2 FTE), self-scheduled role that will be 8 hr/wk. Shifts for the role may include (but are not limited to):
Weekdays:
4:00pm-12am; 5:00pm-9:00pm; 6:00am-8:30am; Overnight 12:00am-8:30amWeekends:
7:30am-3:30pm; 3:30pm-12:00am; Overnight 12:00am-8:30amPrimary Function
The Triage Nurse role provides provide primary care patients telephone access to a highly skilled and trained registered nurse who accurately answers their questions and addresses their medical concerns during hours when the primary care offices are open. To provide first line response to patient questions and concerns with escalation to the primary care offices when necessary. To ensure continuity of care, communicates the patient’s condition and plan of care to other health team members.
