What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform complex professional accounting duties related to the establishment, maintenance, and reporting of accounting records for various funding sources
- Train to become a Subject Matter Expert in the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal)
- Assist in the reconciliation of General Ledger and Federal Fund accounts
- Prepare Year-End Financial Reports using FI$Cal systems
- Collaborate with internal and external clients and governmental agencies to ensure compliance and accuracy

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience with General Ledger and Clearing Account reconciliation
- Knowledge of Year-End Financial Reporting using FI$Cal systems
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good written and oral communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge and experience with the State Accounting process, including FI$Cal system and configurations
- Initiative to research and solve accounting-related problems
- Experience preparing Month-End Reconciliation and Year-End Financial Reports
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong personal computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel, and accounting databases
