What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and workplace conflicts, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies and labor laws.
- Provide guidance to managers on handling performance issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations in alignment with internal policies and labor laws.
- Conduct thorough and confidential investigations into allegations of misconduct, harassment, or discrimination.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on topics such as conflict resolution, workplace ethics, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all employee relations cases to mitigate risk and support decision-making.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5+ years of Administrative or Human Resources experience.
- Must reside within driving distance to Baltimore, MD for occasional on-site meetings.
- Strong skills in complex problem-solving, speaking, human resources, active listening, critical thinking, writing, judgment and decision-making, and collaboration.
- Attention to detail and integrity in handling sensitive employee relations matters.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting employee engagement initiatives.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO regulations.
- Proven analytical thinking skills to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
