What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain a high-quality, extramurally-funded research program in cancer research
- Participate in the teaching of graduate students and mentoring of trainees
- Collaborate with teams of researchers at the Cancer Research Center - DC
- Publish high-quality research findings and contribute to scientific knowledge
- Engage in interdisciplinary projects with researchers from related fields
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Earned doctorate (PhD, MD, and/or DVM)
- Postdoctoral research experience
- Proven record of research productivity through high-quality publications
- Some record of past or preferably current extramural funding
- Experience with laboratory bench-based research and/or bioinformatics approaches
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in collaborative research projects
- Strong track record of securing external research funding
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in academic settings
- Ability to effectively mentor students from diverse backgrounds
- Interest in interdisciplinary approaches to cancer research
