      Position Overview:

      The Test Technician will be responsible for the Test equipment/Machine installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance improvement. They will also be trained and cross-trained to repair, maintain and improve the stability and reliability of various stations including Final Tester, Leak Tester, wake up tester, SMC current tester etc. Test technicians must be quality-conscious, aggressively self-directed, motivated team members, and willing and eager to gain and share new knowledge with the team.

      The normal schedule for the plant is a 24/7 operation and will require flexibility to maintain standards across all shifts.

      Responsibilities:

      • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment what test related.
      • Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks (i.e., cleaning, inspection, lubrication, consumable parts replacements) as necessary to ensure test machine stability and reliability.
      • Thoroughly document maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to Test Engineer, team leader, supervisors, etc.
      • Troubleshoot and identify potential root cause on product mechanical errors or PCBA electrical issues or general operating inefficiencies with assembly production processes.
      • Co-work with team and lead root-cause investigations for test equipment related issues, deploy corrective actions and develop preventive actions to eliminate recurrence with test equipment.
      • Assist in day-to-day support of machine operation, adjustments, setups, and change over.
      • This is a hands-on role, requiring the candidate to take on project work assigned as an individual contributor, or as a participant on cross functional teams, as well as be able to utilize tools to inspect, repair and maintain equipment.

      Education and Experience:

      • Diploma in Engineering Technician or Associate Degree or equivalent
      • Preferably 1 year working experience - of direct experience in working with PCBA assembling, Test, debugging, and better with the experience on optimizing automated assembly equipment.
      • Ability to fulfill job responsibilities in a fast-paced/high-volume production environment.

      Preferred Skills and Competencies:

      • Strong PC skills and with industry language like C or LabVIEW.
      • Extensive knowledge in test plans, electronic development and PCBA production, functionality, and interaction.
      • Requires electrical and software aptitude, technical ability, problem-solving skills, ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
      • Hands-on technical ability with assembly methodologies including methods, setup at assembly, pneumatic actuators, servo motors, limit switches, robotics, etc.
      • Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements directed by the department.
      • Multi-language fluency preferred (English, Malay, Mandarin)

      Physical Requirements (if applicable):

      • Able to work all shifts and some weekends as required to support business objectives.
      • Required to stand for at least 75% of working time per shift, with walking at least 50% of working time per shift.
