The Tutoring and Learning Center Testing Specialist for Fort Worth Testing, under general supervision, coordinates and supports services within the Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC). This is an in-office position located on Tarleton's Fort Worth campus. Work hours: Monday through Thursday from 8 AM-7 PM or as work requirements indicates. Must be able to work remotely at the University's discretion.
Serves as the Campus Security Officer (CSA).
Responsibilities
40% Coordinates testing services. Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations within the testing office – including but not limited to test site semester planning and scheduling, explaining/assisting students with access to testing, making tests available, scheduling testing appointments and cancellations, test proctoring, and answering general inquiries through phone and email correspondence. Utilizes the test scheduling technology. Provides strong customer/client service.25% Provides support in all areas of the TLC, working closely with all TLC staff. Supports the Director of the Tutoring and Learning Center and works with office staff in assessing and managing the testing services (includes recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, observing, and evaluating proctors and testing assistants).
10% Communicates with faculty, staff, and student workers (includes updates, notices, and changes to and from the Director) information and materials about testing services. Communicates with office staff pertinent information to be included in regular meetings and/or emails.
10% Assists in the development of, maintains, and updates assessment procedures, policies, and protocols ensuring compliance with all testing agencies. Compiles testing data and prepares usage reports. Monitors accounts receivable and accounts payable to assist in maintaining office budget records. Collects and deposits testing fees as needed.
10% Supervises, evaluates, and supports part-time office staff (testing proctors and testing assistants).
5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of the Tutoring and Learning Center.

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications. Knowledge of basic accounting. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle conflict productively. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
