What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Communicate with hospitals, organ and tissue procurement organizations, coroners, hospice groups, and funeral homes
- Screen all deaths for the possibility of eye/cornea donation
- Perform tissue review/approval for transplant as final donor tissue eligibility determination
- Process corneas used for surgery
- Contact family for medical social history and consent for donation

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Science or Health-related field
- 2 years of experience in organ procurement, tissue banking, surgical technician, or other medically related field
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work call coverage on a rotating basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays
