EDUCATIONAL SERVICE UNIT #3 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Summer School Teacher Job Title Code: 2506 Number of Days Worked: Training and curriculum day (2 days), 5 hours/day for the 32 days of summer school; $35/hr Department: Boys Town FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Immediate Supervisor: Title I Administrator, Michele Hensley Staff Supervised: None Essential Requirements: No history of child abuse or negligence. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree/NE Teaching Certificate A concern for working with young people in a residential school setting (teaching positions in math, science, social studies and language arts at the secondary level) Essential Responsibilities: Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook Provide instruction and behavioral management duties (behavioral management training will be provided). Implementation of the Boys Town Education Model Provide students with assistance on in-class work, develops a positive atmosphere and climate for learning.
