Department Overview:
Three person virtual company consisting of a President/Toxicologist, executive vice-president (contact person), and Director of Operations (manages day-to-day operations), supported by a team of student interns. All work is remote/virtual and all product/reports prepared by you will be templated with minor need for editing. Understanding health/safety is important, so training in biology/chemistry will be useful. Our interns have majored in biology, chemistry, engineering, biomendical engineering, premed, and prelaw, but there is no requirement.

3 Position Summary/Job Duties:
Join a team of other UW undergrad/grad students (n=10) with this internship in medical device toxicology. Walker Downey & Associates, Inc. (walkerdowney.com) has openings for 2-3 students to fill the positions soon to be vacated by other internsas they pursue professional school or fulltime industry employement. You will learn how to assess the safety of chemicals that may leach from medical devices using online search sites and in silico programs. You will summarize these data in our templated report. You will be paid as a consultant ($30/hour) while working virtually and setting your own times. You will work one-on-one with our Director of Operations
