Req#: 655296BRVirtually work with senior Trade Finance Analysts to manage letter of credit accounting and to develop financial concepts and related contract terms literacy, to support letter of credit and corporate guaranty issuances. Position offers growth to work with the LM business units directly to support their mission goals and assume management of critical tasks.
Immediate Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Process issuances of financial instruments and related
amendments; maintain the databases.
- Support Treasury’s Sarbanes-Oxley review and testing process.
- Support quarter and year end reporting requirements.
- Update SharePoint files.
- Support Trade Finance team by working to identify and understand
letter of credit and/or corporate guaranty requirements.
- Support other areas of Treasury as needed.
Areas of Responsibility after position growth include but are not limited to:
- Process quarter and year end reporting requirements.
- Support Treasury and Trade Finance team’s management of bank relationships by negotiating pricing and tracking bank responses.
- Support Trade Finance team by reviewing, tracking and processing all invoices timely.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Support Trade Finance team by reviewing proposed terms and conditions for commercial and direct commercial (international governments) contracts and propose edits, as necessary, to facilitate payment(s), financial instruments and mitigate financial risk.
- Support Trade Finance team by assisting with review and drafting of documentary letters of credit (“Doc L/Cs”), standby letters of credit (“SBLCs”) and corporate guaranty formats to be included as attachments in proposals and negotiated contracts.
- Support Trade Finance team by assisting with review of changes to proposed financial instruments and related contract terms.
- Assist with review of SBLC liquidation, payment, milestone or delivery schedules and documents that may be required for purposes of drafting and negotiating the Doc L/Cs, SBLCs and/or corporate guaranties.
- Make oral group presentations on Trade Finance concepts. * Minimum of 2 years knowledge of SAP and experience working in the SAP application or similar application.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access including, pivot tables, formulas, chart making, import/export, templates, etc.
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related
discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
* Minimum of 2 years knowledge of commercial and direct commercial contracts.
* Proficient Mathematic skills; arithmetic and computing ratios, rates and percentages.
* Experience processing invoices and ability to learn invoice terminology. * Critical thinker with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to analyze and identify relationships and conflicts.
* Knowledge of LMC’s policies on review and approval of
commercial and direct commercial contract (international
governments) proposals.
* Familiarity with standby and documentary letters of credit.
* Familiarity with cash flow principles and cost estimating concepts.
* Self-management skills; independent learner, prioritizing tasks and
follow through.
* Business writing; writing grammatically correct routine business
