      Job Description:

      THE OPPORTUNITY

      This role is a business liaison between our creative team and our manufacturing team. Key areas of interest are product development, costs analysis and budget tracking. We are looking for a team member who can help translate ideas and concepts into a physical item and then work with both teams to ensure the product is on budget and cost effective. An understanding of dimensions and physical attributes is critical to the role.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      Meet with editorial and design teams to identify product specifications and communicate these details into internal systems to request costs from our manufacturing teams.

      Evaluates costs from manufacture groups to ensure product specifications are meeting financial goals as well as the vision for each project and build excel file of data necessary to review these evaluations by senior management.

      Able to communicate specifications changes to book product and impact to prior financial assumptions ultimately ensuring the finished goods meets production specifications.

      Develop project development budgets, input and track expenses against those expectations.

      Act as photo liaison for content development teams within the business by assisting photo department with management of requests, budget verification, and processing of photo invoices for requested images.

      • Knowledge of paper, printing, binding, jacket or cover requirements and specifications

      • College degree

      • Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (particularly important), Word, and Powerpoint
