      BAT TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS LOOKING FOR A TRADE MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE

      SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Management Level

      FUNCTION: Marketing

      ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

      This role is part of Trade/ Brande Marketing

      The role is responsible for supporting the implementation of a National Business Strategy through the most effective and efficient utilization of budgets, TM&D systems and manpower in order to achieve the Trade Marketing objectives, as outlined in the monthly cycle and demand plans and to execute activities informed by the overall TM Plan in order to support the achievement of the respective Brands, Volume, Price, Profit and Market share objectives of the company.

      WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

      • To map and classify accounts into strategic importance in order to inform the allocation and maximization of the marketing investment.
      • Analyse WITCO and competitors’ business performance within accounts to facilitate effective cycle planning activities
      • Assist in the development and implementation of the Regional Trade Marketing plan, which meets the objectives of the National Trade Marketing and Distribution policy and concurs with Brand strategies and the needs of the Trade.
      • To classify and reclassify new and existing outlets (consumer profile), to reflect the current purchasing habits and strategic positioning of the outlets, and to secure opportunities through the development and implementation of channel specific cycle objectives
      • Implementation of account strategy and plans to ensure that sales volume/profit objectives are achieved through the most efficient use of resources.
      • To maintain records of customer accounts and provide accurate and useful information to enable effective decision making.
      • Negotiate on behalf of the company to ensure a position of strength in strategic accounts.
      • Update the customer call cards and RSC files regularly. So that an accurate picture of the purchasing habits of each outlet is maintained.
      • To manage, monitor and impact Trade Marketing Universe creating avenues for growth.
      • To identify and develop future business opportunities with strategic accounts in order to impact the overall TM&D universe.
      • Manage cross-functional application of category management in selected accounts.
      • Supports the implementation of Key Account Management best practices to build customer relationships and loyalty.
      • To provide guidance to customers with respect to legislation regarding the erection of the Company’s advertising signs etc. and to ensure compliance in order to minimize commercial risks.
      • Provides information regarding competitor’s business activities on an ongoing basis and to submit weekly and monthly reports on time in order to facilitate speedy and effective decision making.
      • May be required to perform additional duties or relocate to other regions from time to time

      ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

      • At least Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
      • Work Experience: at least 3 years in general, 2 years ideally in FMCGs and traditional commercial channels. At least 2-year sales experience.
      • Experience with B2B/Distributor management a plus.
      • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously a plus.
      • Valid General Driver´s Licence with at least 2 years’ driving experience
      • Computer Literacy: Word, Excel, Outlook, Android apps
      • Proficient in Excel and Power Point
      • Analytical & Numerical skills
      • Negotiation & Planning skills
      • Knowledge of Distribution, logistics & market KPIs tools (ie Nielsen)
