      Position Overview

      QinetiQ US is seeking a Trade Show and Event Planning professional to join our dynamic Marketing and Communications department that focus on creating brand experiences and sharing the QinetiQ US story. This position will primarily be responsible for planning and executing QinetiQ US trade shows and branded internal and external events with the oversight and strategic direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications. This position should have the ability to work with all client types including speakers, sponsors, event attendees, as well as distinguished guests and C-suite level executives. This role must be familiar with conference and trade show strategies, planning, management and execution, and can manage all aspects of an event from beginning to end while simultaneously balancing other events.

      Responsibilities

      • Drive the planning, execution and return on investment of trade shows and events of various size.
      • Plan, execute, and manage timelines for sponsorships and booth space, including logistics such as shipping, equipment, exhibitor services, vendors, hotel accommodations, marketing collateral and promotional giveaways.
      • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with various trade organizations vendors, and associations.
      • Develop conference playbooks to prepare the team for each event ensuring successful execution (i.e. attendance, meetings, sponsorships, show attire, etc).
      • Manage an event budget by tracking and reporting on finances and processing invoices and payments.
      • Execute post-show meetings to determine follow-up actions and lessons learned.

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management or minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple trade shows and events per year.
      • Knowledge and experience with trade shows including logistics, booth presence, integrated campaigns, etc.
      • Ability to be “first-in, last-out” team member at trade shows and events and running the floor at events to ensure smooth operations.
      • Experience managing and executing company-branded events and experiences.
      • Highly organized with strong analytical and reporting skills.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Certified Trade Show Manager Certificate preferred.
      • Knowledable of standard A/V setups.
