      Who we are looking for:

      First Eagle is seeking a Trading Analyst or Associate to join the High Yield Muni Credit tea m based in New York. The team is small and nimble, so the Trading Associate will have a n immediate impact across all functions of the team.


      What you will do:

      • Support the senior members of the investment and trading teams by analyzing portfolio positions, market conditions, sector performance, dealer inventory, and relative value pricing
      • Reconcile daily cash positions and funding requirements in coordination with internal operations and accounting teams
      • Engage and partner with the U.S. Wealth, Institutional, International Wealth Management, and Retirement sales teams to provide updates on the firm’s strategies and relevant competitive intelligence
      • Manage weekly primary market flow and communicate investment priorities among the analysts, traders, and portfolio managers
      • Develop and maintain dealer relationships to optimize trade execution levels
      • Produce weekly municipal commentary for internal distribution to sales and marketing teams
      • Develop product training materials for sales and market teams
      • Manage vendor-based products used by the investment team
      • Trade portfolio positions under the supervision of the investment team
      • Travel as needed to support investment process

      What you will learn:

      • Fundamental municipal credit analysis by partnering with senior credit analysts
      • Investment life-cycle from trade idea to investment thesis to execution to exit
      • Portfolio-level analytics around duration, credit quality, convexity, concentration, alpha, attribution, and resilience
      • Trading strategies for both long-term and short-term purposes
      • Critical marketing skills used to punctuate the selling points of the municipal product both for internal stakeholders and for the investing population at large

      The qualities you should have:

      • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics , or related field
      • 1-5 years of f ixed income investment or trading experience OR a demonstrated specific interest in the municipal bond market
      • Intellectual curiosity , entrepreneurial focus , and collaborative mindset – everyone on the team is expected to work on multiple tasks concurrently as they arise
      • Analytical skills, excellent work ethic, and problem-solving attitude is a must
      • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Charles River, and FactSet is preferred , but not required
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage interpersonal relationships vertically and horizontally across multiple channels/workflows
      • Organization and time-management skills are paramount
      • Team player , proactive rather reactive, and positive mindset

      Base Salary range: $90 ,000 to $ 160 ,000 . In addition, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to – the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
