- Gain first-hand and in-depth understanding of power markets and related commodities with a focus on renewable energy and learn the fundamentals of energy trading.
- Participate in managing Germany’s leading portfolio for market access and PPAs and closely work with fellow portfolio managers, analysts, quants, originators, and key account managers in our origination team.
- Improve, develop, and apply state of the art analytical tools and models for pricing and for actively managing the positions and risks of the complex origination portfolio.
- Support the business with analysing our large portfolio of intermittent renewable generation and flexible generation.
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics or similar
- No more than one year of work experience post education (excluding internships/part-time jobs)
- Good skills in presenting, communicating, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Commercial mindset with a genuine interest for finance/business and commodity markets

Job Description
The Portfolio Management team structures and prices all non-standard commodity contracts and manages the resulting position. The portfolio consists of tailor-made short- and long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), long-term sales contracts to large end customers and non-standard flexible and structured wholesale products in Germany. The team is also responsible for the sales trading desk with team members located in Düsseldorf. As a Trainee in the Portfolio Management Team, you will:
