      As a Trainee, your role will be to help deliver world-class and industry leading support to our global client base. We're looking for people with a passion for providing excellent customer service and who have an interest in learning more about financial markets. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates with strong interpersonal skills seeking work in a fast-paced, challenging and team-focused environment. This role is also suited for anyone who has previous client services experience, and thrives on interacting and assisting clients with wide range of queries. The role is based in our offices in Sandton Johannesburg.

      Your role in the Team

      As a Trainee, your role will be to help deliver world-class and industry leading support to our global client base. While you'll be based in our Sandton Johannesburg office, you'll be working with our global trading services team around the world in London, Chicago, Melbourne, Singapore, Dubai, Bangalore and Krakow.       What you’ll do

      • Utilise our cutting edge cloud-based contact centre to provide trade and admin support on OTC derivatives to our global client base across phone, email and web chat.
      • Champion the client and bring the client experience to the forefront
      • Gain a strong understanding of various financial instruments such as stocks, options, futures, FX, cryptocurrencies, bonds and commodities
      • Gain a strong understanding of financial markets, stock exchanges and macro-economic events
      • Provide trading expertise on P&L and margin calculations, order types, charges, trade assistance & investigations
      • Providing an execution-only phone dealing service (following relevant training)
      • Answering queries and cross-selling of our products and platforms
      • Run daily morning market calls
      • Resolving trade disputes
      • Participating in and running various local and international projects
      • Providing clients with technical support with our front-end platforms and chart packages such as MT4, TradingView and ProRealTime
      • In doing so you'll benefit from exposure to a vibrant, commercially driven environment, with development opportunities encompassing everything from client reactivation and retention, premium client service, trading services specialisms, managerial and dealing roles

      What you’ll need for this role

      What you will need is a genuine interest in working in financial markets, along with motivation levels as impressive as your aptitude for numbers and attention to detail – plus:

      • Drive change and deliver meaningful impact across processes, people and technology
      • Interest in client services together with an eagerness to work with clients
      • Upbeat and enthusiastic individual
      • Able to be part of a team and work collaboratively
      • A degree-level education, finance-related preferred
      • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • The ability to work well under pressure
      • A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
      • Confident to employ basic maths skills, particularly mental arithmetic.
      • Strong organisational and time management skills
      • Literacy in MS Office
      • Desirable: experience of working in a client facing role within Financial Services
