DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Supervisor First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Ensure all drivers have reported for shift and are briefed and de-briefed
• To ensure an efficient Fleet operation complying with all company regulations
• Daily communication with the Transport management team to ensure sufficient daily resources, working collaboratively with the warehouse to ensure all inbound / outbound loads are processed efficiency whilst safety and key control are maintained
• Use of Transport systems to ensure all trip data is captured accurately, and within agreed timescales
• Driver hours management to ensure maximum utilisation and profitability, within legal parameter
