Job Description

- You will apply the principles of traffic management as it applies to the storage and shipment of household goods, unaccompanied baggage, boats and privately owned vehicle (POV).
- You will approve/disapprove invoices submitted by Transportation Service Providers (TSPs) or contractors.
- You will manage shipments in both Storage-in-Transit (SIT) and Non-Temporary Storage (NTS).
- You will act as a point of contact for all household goods shipment management functions related to invoicing, Storage in Transit/Non-temporary Storage (SIT/NTS), and provide Transportation Service Provider (TSP) quality assurance oversight.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You will serve as a Transportation Assistant (Vendor/Storage MGMT) of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR.
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 9.28% will be added to the stated salary.Duties

GS-06 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties that demonstrate knowledge of standardized transportation regulations, methods and practices to perform a variety of transportation support assignments, and resolve problems in connection with the storage and movement of personal property by government or commercial means. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Reviewing orders and determining extent of entitlements in support of the shipment and storage of personal property 2) Review and approve shipment costs, billing statements, or invoicing functions; 3) Preparing shipping documentation which may include determining excess cost.
GS-05 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Utilizing automated systems to process shipments; 2) Providing customer support while performing shipment and storage functions; and 3) Utilizing automated information systems to gather and/or input a range of standard information.
