You will provide your expertise to support regional transportation and logistics processes and work in coordination with other business functions to ensure efficient transportation of goods to our customers and patients and support the enablement and execution of our Transportation Management System (TMS).
A Day in the Life
•Support the requirements and Information gathering to support TMS Design and Implementation
•Act as a regional subject matter expert to ensure voice of business in TMS development
•Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures which support customer and business objectives within the TMS platform
•Plan, coordinate, schedule and oversee shipment activities as needed
•Ensure Transportation planning supports timely deliveries, are cost-effective and adhere to safety regulations
•Responsible for hiring and training transportation staff (analysts, logistics personnel supporting day to day execution, etc.)
•Monitor transportation service level performance (3PL, carriers, suppliers, etc.) and associated KPI’s/Metrics
•Drive / implement continuous improvements and cost saving initiatives as necessary
•Implement strategic changes as necessary
•Communicate with carriers, suppliers/vendors, and customers to maintain strong relationships
•Budget management and oversightQualifications
•5+ years’ experience in a Logistics/Transportation
•Fluent in English both written and spoken
•Knowledge of transportation operations, freight tendering, and tracking processes
•Broad experience in working with various modes of transportation
•Experience in scheduling, logistics optimization, and managing to customer demands
•TMS knowledge and data analytics skills (ex. Blue Yonder, MercuryGate, Oracle TM)
•Customer focused, problem solver, with the ability to troubleshootMust Have: Minimum Requirements
