What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the state trauma system in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical support to agency management, staff, and committees involved in trauma care
- Oversee contract employees and ensure effective communication within the trauma community
- Conduct site visits for initial and renewal designations in collaboration with the American College of Surgeons
- Maintain and manage data entered by trauma centers into the trauma registry for research and quality management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the area of specialization
- In-depth knowledge of the American College of Surgeons and trauma system designation processes
- Familiarity with North Carolina EMS and Trauma Rules
- General knowledge of applicable state and federal laws regarding grant funding and management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with trauma centers and hospital systems
- Understanding of state and national standards for trauma care
- Familiarity with trauma registry data management
- Skills in grant writing and management
- Background in public health or healthcare policy
