      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Maintain and complete accurate Trauma Registry databases for inpatient and outpatient trauma patients
      - Abstract data from multiple sources including medical records and admission logs
      - Ensure accuracy and completeness of registry records through data validation
      - Collaborate with the Trauma Specialist to prepare statistical reports and support program operations
      - Monitor compliance with Trauma Service standards of patient care and report performance improvement issues

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school graduate or equivalent
      - 1-2 years of experience in abstracting data from medical records, preferably in ED/Trauma
      - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, with data analysis skills
      - Ability to understand medical terminology and abstract medical data from records
      - Strong typing and computer skills with attention to accuracy and detail

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - College coursework in business, computers, data-entry, or related fields
      - Experience using ICD-10 clinical manager codes
      - Certified Trauma Registrar certification
