Under general supervision, is responsible for collecting taxes on real estate & vehicles for the County; receipts & accounts for funds from internal departments daily & monthly; receipts for insurance payments from retirees & active accounts; run various reports for daily collection; enter DMV decal information daily & responsible for DMV decal inventory; count daily deposits; enter information in CSI for the Finance Department; provide quality service in performing daily activities, must be able to work flexible hours at times, as well as, any other duties as required by the Treasurer. Reports to the Treasurer.Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one to two years of responsible experience in general office work involving computer operation, typing, answering the telephone, basic mathematics & customer service, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills & abilities. Must be able to count large sums of currency at a fast pace. Must be able to work well with the citizens of Lancaster County.
