- Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies.
- Monitor the transitional home for safety risks and document any identified risks.
- Perform house rounds within the home to ensure individuals safety within the transitional home.
- Complete all relevant training on a timely basis as required by state, contract, and/or licensing agency standards.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain client contact as required by program expectations.
- Actively and directly engage with the individual to meet service needs and goals/objectives of the treatment/service plan.
- Interact with the individual to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting the individual in achieving identified goals.
- Monitor the house security system and ensure the system is working optimally. This includes changing camera batteries, which may involve use of a ladder.
- Actively document any incidents that happened throughout the shift and communicating with team members on the next shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma
- Reliable transportation.
- Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
- Working, reliable telephone.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- Experience working directly with individuals with mental illness preferred.
- Works well independently and as a team member.
- Multi-task efficiently and be flexible in all situations.
- Openness to traveling as needed.

Working At NYAP
Position Summary
The Treatment Advocate works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals being served by the National Youth Advocate Program by working closely with the individual advocacy and support towards targeted goals.
Hours: Part Time (16-30 Hours Weekly) or Full TimeRESPONSIBILITIES
