This position is open to CONUS, AK, HI and PR. California is a specifically excluded hiring location.
The position is fully remote.

This is a W2 position.
Anticipated on-boarding dates are in mid-Feb 2025.
Multiple openings are available.
$21 per hour.
Responsible for review of Electronic Service Records (ESRs) when received and maintains a working understanding of potential issues. Reviews records and expeditiously submits clarification requests to the VA as necessary, categorizing the record appropriately in the MDE4Vets system. Additionally, the Triage agents review Case Details to determine if this case requires a priority designation, and subsequently ensure it is tagged appropriately. Accurately documents pertinent information for all calls. Assists Call Center with questions, as needed.
Key Tasks
Obtain pertinent Medical Records from other facilities
Assess Veteran contentions for appropriate Disability Based Questionnaires (DBQs).
Align DBQs to appropriate medical evaluations or medical opinions.
Identify gaps and missing documentation in Examination Scheduling Request (ESRs) and submit clarification request, as appropriate.
Submit clarification requests to appropriate parties
Prepare ESRs for evaluation by medical providers.
Participate in team meetings and offer feedback to/from staff.
Demonstrate adaptability and accept change in a positive manner.
Readily assists other staff members upon completion of assigned duties.
Assists in orienting and training new colleagues.
Follow all policies and procedures mandated by the VA and the governing bodies regarding HIPAA.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Education:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
1 year of customer service or clerical experience within the healthcare field.
