      Schedule:

      Tutors are free to set their own schedule. We are busiest Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Once you set your hours, you must stick with the same schedule every week.

      Please note the position goes into *June* of 2025. We follow the Madison public school calendar.

      Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

      $21.00-$26.00

      Qualifications:

      - Must be available to work in person off campus
      - Past experience teaching or tutoring is a plus, but not required
      - Past experience working with youth in any setting
      - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      - comfortable working independently, responsible
      - Excellent role model and mentor for youth

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Must be proficient in the subject you wish to tutor. Tutors also need excellent communication skills in order to be able to connect with the students. You need the skill to be able to teach the concepts in a way that they can grasp. You must be a flexible thinker who can explain a concept in several different ways.

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Seeking tutors to work with middle school and high school students in a variety of subjects. Tutors work with each student one-on-one in order to make a direct impact and help youth achieve their goals. Previous experience working with young people is a plus! Have you been a tutor, mentor, camp counselor, coach, swim instructor, or similar? If so, please apply! Math is our most requested subject, so proficiency through AP Calculus is a plus. The Prep Center is a short bus ride from campus, near Colectivo on Monroe Street. It is just off the Southwest bike path. Start tutoring in September, paid training in August.

      Physical Demands:

      Must be able to hold sessions in person. Must be able to get to our location, off campus.
