Position Summary
Trout Unlimited is seeking a motivated, hardworking, and capable individual excited about helping improve stream habitats and maintain healthy trout populations in the Uintah Basin. This position will be based in Vernal in northeastern Utah. The Uintah Basin Aquatic Resource Technician will work closely with Trout Unlimited staff and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources biologists with projects aimed at improving the habitat and populations of native Colorado River Cutthroat. This position is primarily field based and will require frequent travel and camping in remote locations with limited cell service. Field work includes but is not limited to the removal of non-native fish from high country streams, assisting with the collection of Colorado River Cutthroat Trout broodstock, and other fish population monitoring activities. A successful candidate will complete assigned duties safely and efficiently, conduct work professionally as a public representative for Trout Unlimited, and work collaboratively with the multiple project partners.

This is a full-time seasonal position running from April through September with a pay of $18/hr. Work may be extended based on work performance and funding availability.
