What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Underwrite and accept/reject individual mortality and morbidity risks according to underwriting guidelines
- Identify trends and provide optimal underwriting solutions
- Interact with customers to streamline the acquisition process while safeguarding mortality results
- Mentor less experienced underwriting professionals and conduct second signature reviews
- Make financially responsible business decisions in line with departmental policies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of individual mortality insurance underwriting or equivalent experience
- Life underwriting signature limit between $3M - $5M
- FLMI required or willingness to obtain
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to foster successful professional relationships and demonstrate accountability

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Some morbidity underwriting experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- AALU or FALU designation preferred
- Prior experience mentoring or training junior underwriters
- Comfortable with new technology and operating within multiple systems
