      6 to 20 hours per week

      Schedule:

      • 6-20 hours per week, including mostly evening/weekend hours each week. Must have availability for programming efforts Friday and Saturday evenings in the Fall, on a rotating basis.
      • Scheduling requirements:
        • Must work a minimum of 4 weekend programming shifts per month.
          • Regular programming shifts are from 8pm-1am on Friday and Saturday nights.
        • Availability between 4pm-8pm on Monday evenings for an average of 2 hours for staff meetings. If this block of time on Mondays does not work for you, please indicate in your application, so supervisors can work out an alternate plan.
        • 1-2 hours per week for office hours, program planning, and support.
        • 1 hour monthly for supervisor meetings
      • Flexible scheduling based on academic availability and operational need.
      • Potential summer hours may be available but are not guaranteed.

      • Move-In Date: August 17, 2025 (If you are a resident of University Housing)
      • Fall 2025 Training/Opening Week Preparation
        • August 18, 2025, through August 22, 2025, for LNC Training
        • Early Move-In Programming starting August 24, 2025
      • Note: Start date and training dates may change but will not be any earlier than the dates listed above.

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $15.50 to $15.50

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Late Night Coordinators are primarily responsible for planning and executing large-scale late-night programs for on-campus residents. Late Night Coordinators will support programming efforts by placing orders, organizing events, and executing programs to help students effectively transition to UW-Madison and make the most of their Wisconsin Experience.

      • Work with supervisor and peers to create, design, and execute programming for residents living on campus, with a focus on student acclimation to campus, community development, and alcohol alternative programming.
      • Develop programs based on student departmental need for creating an environment focused on academic success and student engagement.
      • Understanding of the needs and interests of residents, including the needs of residents in groups that experience adverse academic and/or social outcomes on campus.
      • Execute late night programming as directed by supervisor/with supervisor support, including event set-up and clean-up, as well as being present at events.
      • Support residents during emergency and crisis response at events, if needed.
      • Assist with various special events on campus, such as Wisconsin Welcome.
      • Complete administrative tasks required to execute programming including placing orders, planning advertising, and organizing events.
      • Maintain and develop frequent, regular, and open communication with Housing staff and campus partners.
      • Attend designated meetings including staff and one-on-one (supervisor) meetings.
      • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and additional responsibilities as assigned by each specific unit.

      Qualifications:

      • During pre-employment and employment, a student staff member must abide by the University Residence Halls Contract, the Student Housing Handbook and the University of Wisconsin System academic and non-academic policies and expectations.
      • Previous event planning and programming experience is not required, but strongly preferred.
