In a matrix environment, the Franchise Medical Director for US Medical Affairs will perform a key role in the clinical and commercial activities with specific strategic alignment and execution of activities related to the Neurology Franchise and disease state including relevant expert outreach, franchise brand planning, franchise advisory board execution, and MS and Neuromuscular/Neurodegenerative disease state content creation in collaboration with the MSL Team, Global Scientific Communications and Publication planning. As part of the execution of Sanofi strategy, he/she will work closely with the leadership of Sanofi's US Neurology Medical, Global Neurology Medical, Commercial and Scientific Communication Functions. This position will report to the Head of NA Neurology Medical.
Responsibilities
Support the US initiative for thought leader relationship-building within the MS/Neuroimmunology, Neuromuscular and Movement Disorder communities.
The US Neurology Franchise Medical Director is responsible for conceptualization and execution of Franchise Advisory Boards, working with internal stakeholders for the development of materials for competitor preparedness and intelligence, and creation of US content pertaining to MS and potentially other neurology disease states but also to include some product specific materials requiring knowledge of our MARKETED and PIPELINE products to support the other more-product specific US Neurology Medical Directors and to train and educate cross-functional in-house and field teams regarding updates and trends related to MS disease state. Key responsibilities of the Franchise Medical Director include but are not limited to Portfolio Promotional Review Board (PRB) material reviews and US Franchise Brand Plan development and execution. The Franchise Medical Director is the co-lead responsible for the Neuro-Engage cross-functional meeting which is a monthly comprehensive cross-functional US Medical team meeting that identifies trends which potentially necessitates changing strategy and tactics based on the incoming multi-channel feedback from MS and other Neurologic disorder experts. The Franchise Medical Director will also be the primary liaison with the US Neurology Commercial, Global Neurology Commercial and Global Neurology Medical Franchise functions. He/she will work to cultivate current and future MS/Neurology experts in academic and clinical medicine at regional and national levels. Through these relationships, the US Franchise Medical Director will gain meaningful expert insights that influence priority areas pertaining to MS and other Neurology disease states in support of business, clinical and scientific strategy.

Through MS expert relationships, the US Neurology Franchise Medical Director will facilitate the initiation of disease state/non-product related research projects and ensure that hypothesis testing is clearly defined and within priority areas consistent with the strategic development objectives in MS and other Neurology-related disease states. He/she will be responsible for the successful execution of appropriate processes for review, approval, management and support of studies while maintaining investigator independence according to regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Strategic and substantive input to publication planning and execution to ensure that all data on MS or other Neurology disease states generated by company or investigator sponsored trials is publicly presented in an appropriate fashion and in a fair and balanced manner.
