      Primary Duties:

      • Ensure that all systems including boilers, clean steam generators, water for injection stills, reverse osmosis units, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, waste water flows and associated equipment function correctly
      • Respond to a wide range of mechanical/electrical problems and perform initial troubleshooting. Document problems encountered and communicate these through electronic work order systems, electronic mail and voice systems
      • Perform preventative maintenance and inspection on all utility systems and associated equipment.
      • Provide general labor services throughout all areas maintained by the Utility department including cleaning and organization of designated work areas.
      • Successfully complete training and demonstrate an ability to perform equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational checks on utility/facility equipment
      • Complete and adhere to site GMP requirements in relation to training and site practices
      • Maintain GMP training qualifications to ensure site compliancy standards
      • Interact well with others in a team environment including Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Client team members as well as other internal / external customers
      • Be able to work independently and follow escalation policy as needed.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Familiarity with operating automated control systems, PLCs, and Building Automation Systems

      Job Requirements

      • Must be willing to join Local 39 International Union of Operating Engineers
      • Must be able to read and understand mechanical blue prints and electrical schematics
      • Have basic knowledge and use of hand tools
      • Have experience with building/system control systems
      • Have experience with boilers and their associated steam delivery systems along with the automation controls that drive them
      • Have knowledge of air compressors, air dyers, water purification equipment (reverse osmosis units, water distilling units, clean steam generators), chemical systems, closed loop system water chemistry, refrigeration/HVAC equipment, diesel generators/electrical distribution, and the ability to perform operations/maintenance from written procedures in a GMP environment

      Knowledge and Skills

      • Have knowledge of the basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication.
      • Have working knowledge of PLCs, HMI interfaces and other automated devices.
      • Experience in oral, written, and remote communications in a concise and timely manner.

      Work Environment

      • Work with hazardous materials and chemicals.
      • Wear appropriate PPE such as – hearing protection, safety glasses, respiratory protection, fall protection
      • Work alternative shifts that could include graveyard shifts, weekends, holidays
      • Work overtime when necessary and work varying shifts, including on-call program
      • Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights to perform job functions as needed
      • Stand for long periods of time, crawl, kneel, stoop, and work in small spaces

      Education / Experience

      • High School Graduate
      • 3+ years general maintenance or operations experience
      • Previous GMP environment experience
      • Have working knowledge of CMMS systems
      • Refrigeration / HVAC certificate (Preferred)
      • Boiler operator certificate (Preferred)
      • Wastewater certificate (Preferred)

      Estimated compensation for this position is:

      126,235.00 – 126,235.20 USD per year

      The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
