What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write, edit, and refine UX copy for user-facing content, including interface text and error messages
- Ensure content aligns with brand voice, style guidelines, and accessibility standards
- Collaborate with designers and product teams to enhance usability and user experience
- Organize and manage content within design systems and content repositories
- Create and maintain documentation and training content for VA staff and Veterans
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3+ years of experience in UX writing, content writing, or technical writing for digital products
- Strong ability to simplify complex information for broad audiences
- Experience writing for digital interfaces, ensuring clarity and usability
- Familiarity with content design tools and content management systems
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working on government, civic tech, or public service projects
- Background in working with design systems and structured content frameworks
- Experience writing technical guides and training documents for large-scale systems
- Knowledge of VA systems and processes, and cybersecurity principles
- Experience collaborating with designers and product teams in an Agile environment
