      Job Title: Valet Parker
      Pay Rate: $18-$25 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + gratuity*
      *$18-$25 per hour based on: $10.63 per hour base wage + gratuities; historically, this position averages gratuity earnings in the amount of $7-$14 per hour. Gratuities will fluctuate based on events and time of year. This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $13.65 per hour
      Summary: Assist Door Attendant in meeting and greeting all guests’ arrivals at the BroAdmoor. Also performs duties requested by the Door Attendant and/or Guest Services Supervisor.
      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
      Meet or exceed all AAA and Forbes standards set for Door and Valet staff
      Smile and welcome guests with a positive attitude that supports the philosophy of The Broadmoor Hotel.
      Meet and greet guests arriving via all forms of transportation
      Run 1 to 12 miles in each shift
      Park and secure automobiles.
      Ensure the accuracy of marked damage, vehicle information and valet number on all Temporary and Overnight vehicles.
      Assist Door and Bell staff with loading and unloading guest vehicles
      Sign out and operate all necessary equipment (radios, earpieces, clickers) and ensures their return at the end of each shift
      Ensure golf bags, luggage and packages are marked with correct names
      Attend daily pre-shift meetings
      Dress in proper uniform to include departmental approved all black running shoes
      Maintain proper levels of hydration throughout each shift and stretch prior to and after shift
      Give general directions and information for BROADMOOR and Colorado Springs area
      Assist with removal of snow in guest service areas and the placement of ice melt when necessary
      Direct guests to off property attractions, restaurants, zoo, stables, or airport, and assists in arranging transportation.
      Ensure important information and details are passed along to the next shift.
      Ensure that work area is always kept clean of trash and that lobby access doors to the hotel are opened for guests
      Complete all tasks on the Opening and Closing Duties list
      Maintain confidentiality of any guest information.
      Immediately report any accidents or damage to vehicles or property to Supervisor and Loss Prevention.
      Ensures effective communication with Door Attendant, Key Control, and managers.
      Check out with supervisor at end of shift.
      Other duties may be assigned.
      Qualifications:
      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       Education/Experience:
      High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of driving experience.
      Language Ability:
      Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
      Math Ability:
      Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
      Reasoning Ability:
      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
      Certificates and Licenses:
      Driver’s License is required.
      Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older

      While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; run. The employee may be required to run between 1 mile and 12 miles during a given shift. Each employee is required to purchase proper running shoes within 2 weeks of hiring; shoes are to be replaced every 6 months thereafter. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift to 70 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift to 100 pounds with assistance. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
