What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze microwave remote sensing systems and data sets
- Conduct pre-flight specifications and characterizations of microwave radiometer systems
- Calibrate and validate spaced-based microwave radiometric data
- Utilize computer languages such as FORTRAN, C/C++, Python, UNIX shell scripting, Matlab, and/or IDL
- Collaborate with a team of experts in various disciplines

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Atmospheric Science (Meteorology), Physical Oceanography, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields
- Experience in microwave radiative transfer, radiometer design, calibration methodology, and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in at least one of the mentioned computer languages and/or analysis tools
- Ability to work as a PostDoc, visiting scientist, support contractor, or permanent federal employee

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- M.S., Ph.D., or equivalent experience in relevant disciplines
- Previous experience in handling large volume data sets in remote sensing
- Familiarity with advanced sensor calibration techniques
