- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and employee engagement within the value stream.
- Maintain/upgrade intellectual capital by developing existing employees and attracting qualified future employees. Utilize the Intellectual Capital review and performance appraisal process to establish performance objectives and development plans for direct reports to maximize their potential and performance.
- Drive compliance and continuous improvements for the safety of our employees, and the work they perform.
- Oversee the entire value stream from raw materials through finished goods, ensuring all Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) objectives and strategic business objectives are achieved.
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity improvement.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cycle time, quality metrics, and cost efficiency.
- Drive the action plans for any Strategic Deployment Processes priorities identified. Develop robust 3 in 1’s for KPI’s that fall off track, executing effective countermeasures as required.
- Establish, sustain and improve the quality controls across the entire value stream. Collaborate with supply chain to drive improvements in supplier quality. Deploy process controls within the facility to produce product that exceeds customer expectations. Establish a formal process with customers for addressing defective products discovered in the field.
- Identify opportunities for Lean manufacturing initiatives and drive implementation of Lean tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Lead problem-solving activities to address production bottlenecks, quality issues, or resource constraints.
- Implement and maintain standard work practices across the value stream.
- Engage with Supply Chain to refine material replenishment systems to meet both business model lead-times and achieve our goals for inventory turns.
- Work closely with appropriate Business Line Manager(s) to ensure effective execution of value stream business model necessary to gain market share on a year over year basis.
- Actively engage in the New Product Development (NPD) for the value stream. Ensure work performed to prepare the Operations areas for the new products meets all expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical degree preferred - Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication and assembly operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple efforts with strong results/goal orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative being action oriented and driving for results. Must be flexible and have a willingness to work within changing priorities.
- Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, production scheduling, enterprise MRP systems and relevant manufacturing software.
- Background in ISO 9001 or related standards preferred.

Position Summary:
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a value stream within the manufacturing process with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth. This role is tasked with ensuring operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, reducing waste, and aligning with the company’s strategic objectives within the Strategy Deployment Process for their respective value streams. The Value Stream Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including safety, production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure a smooth, efficient process that delivers quality products on time and within budget.
